THE FINE ART OF CHAIR YOGA
Yoga is often mistakenly considered to be suitable only for the young, fit and flexible. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yoga is for everybody, particularly for those who have mobility issues. A fully engaged and demanding yoga class can be followed from the comfort of an armchair or stool making this beautiful, traditional way of relaxing and stretching available to those who may have difficulty standing, lying down or sitting down to the floor.
Over the years I have developed a style of full length yoga class which I have taught in groups and one to one, to seniors, to the disabled and to adults with addiction and mental health issues.
Where possible the routine will be holistic in the sense of putting each joint through as full a range of motion as possible, relaxing body and mind with combinations of static and dynamic stretches, breathwork and guided meditations.
