Tuina - Chinese Deep Tissue Massage

The origins of massage are found in ancient China with most well-known forms of modern massage tracing their roots to this source. Massage has been used in China since pre-historic times and the art as practiced today is highly developed, incorporating techniques traditionally associated with holistic and Swedish massage, together with joint manipulations similar to osteopathy.

As practiced in the West, Chinese massage works on a deeper level than holistic or Swedish massage but does not include the heavier manipulations commonly used in China. You will experience a deeply healing massage which addresses the root cause of your condition.

Symptoms and conditions alleviated by Tuina massage include the following:
  • Neck pain
  • Stored tension
  • ‘Trapped nerve’
  • Chronic pain
  • Scar tissue pain
  • Joint pain
  • Sports injury
  • Back pain
  • Soft tissue injury
  • Deep tissue injury
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive disorders
